Mitrekraft Furniture (Pty) Ltd has been around since May 1995 and has built up a reputation of being a manufacturer of high quality veneer and melamime furniture on a consistant bases. Mitrekraft focuses on the manufacture of Office and Hotel room furniture and has the capacity to deliver and install anywhere in the Republic of South Africa. This is not to say Mitrekraft does not venture further a field. We have successfully completed hotels in Dar Es Salaam, Lagos, Angola, Botswana and other African Countries as well as on our own doorstep. 

Mitrekraft employs over 79# production staff, works 24 hours a day and has an annually audited BEE rating.

Mitrekraft is blessed with extremely capable and well-trained staff whose skill levels enable the company to produce almost anything designers or retailers may need. These skills include the ability to work with solid woods, prepare our own veneers, a well setup spraying department and skilled upholstery staff. On floor supervision is carried out by three well trained supervisors who have at least 30 years experience in each department.

Going Green!

Mitrekraft has had over two years experience in providing various customers with environmentally friendly furniture. This includes projects for the Green Building Council where Mitrekraft supplied desking consisting of reconstituted bamboo veneers, pressed onto particle substrate sprayed with water-based lacquer. The only component in this project not fully environmentally friendly, was the locally produced E2 rated particle board instead of the European rated E1 environmentally friendly board. Other 'Green' projects have been National Desking Contracts for Neil Harvey and Associates and bedroom furniture for the Vineyard Hotel. Both customers selected an environmentally friendly water-based lacquer finish as opposed to the unfriendly catalyzed equivalent.

At this time, 'Green Furniture' is not a standard procedure, but both advice and products can be offered upon request.
